Interview with Myla Lewis (Angelbound)

Myla Lewis is one of the most bad-ass female character I've ever met, and now I got the honor to do an interview with her! (can't stop shrieking in delight to the fact that Myla said my name! haha) Angelbound was not officially on a blog tour, so consider this a teaser. Love the novel! check out the blurb below and my review of this book.

Angelbound by Christina Bauer

Series: Angelbound #1
Publication date: December 17th 2013
Ink Monster LLC

Eighteen year old Myla Lewis is a girl who loves two things: kicking ass and kicking ass. She’s not your every day quasi-demon, half-demon and half-human, girl. For the past five years, Myla has lived for the days she gets to fight in Purgatory’s arena. When souls want a trial by combat for their right to enter heaven or hell, they go up against her, and she hasn’t lost a battle yet.
But as she starts her senior year at Purgatory High, the arena fights aren’t enough to keep her spirits up anymore. When the demons start to act weird, even for demons, and the King of the Demons, Armageddon, shows up at Myla’s school, she knows that things are changing and it’s not looking good for the quasi-demons. Myla starts to question everything, and doesn’t like the answers she finds. What happened seventeen years ago that turned the quasi-demons into slave labor? Why was her mom always so sad? And why won’t anyone tell her who her father is? Things heat up when Myla meets Lincoln, the High Prince of the Thrax, a super sexy half-human and half-angel demon hunter. But what’s a quasi-demon girl to do when she falls for a demon hunter? It’s a good thing that Myla’s not afraid of breaking a few rules. With a love worth fighting for, Myla’s going to shake up Purgatory.

Interview with Myla Lewis
Feli: Hi Myla! I am really honored that you would spend several minutes (or less) for this interview! Okay, I had several questions for you. Ready?

Myla: Ready and willing! I rarely get to talk to humans.

Feli: I've read many paranormal novels before, and most of the main characters in those novels are craving a 'normal life'. If you had a chance would you prefer to become human or would you stay as a super bad-ass Quasi?

Myla: Here’s the thing: humans can’t see demons. And if you can’t see demons, then you can’t artfully skewer them on the field of battle. So although mortals have much better television, technology, and snack foods, I love being a demon-fighting Quasi-girl!

Feli: What is the hardest demon to kill or defeat? Not including Armageddon.

Myla: In general, I hate fighting demons who use an aerial attack. I can kill them eventually, but it’s a massive time-suck. Plus, I can’t use my favorite gymnastic moves, so the fun level is pretty nugatory, too. Out of all the flying demons, I’d have to say the Mosquito Army are the worst. They travel and fight en masse and just suck all the fun out of battle.

Feli: Your eyes change between red, brown, and later... blue. I've got to admit that it was pretty cool. In your opinion what eye color suits you best?

Myla: I think glowing red eyes really work with my auburn hair. Plus, it scares the crap out of people, which can come in handy.

Feli: Well, I personally thought your red eyes looked really cool even though it's scary... ok, If you could go anywhere on earth, where would you go?

Myla: Prince Lincoln’s people live underground and fight demons cloud-side on Earth, but I’ve heard that there are New World thrax who live on the Earth’s surface full-time. I’d love to see their hidden bases and join in a few demon patrols. Fun!

Feli: This one's going to be interesting! In your opinion, would Walker look good in Unicorn pajamas?

Myla: Define ‘good.’ If by good, you mean ‘so freaking funny I might pee my pants laughing,’ then yes, Walker would look damned good. I may have to find me some Unicorn pajamas and talk him into wearing them…

Feli: Hahaha I think I would kill to see him in those pajamas. Now, the most important question of all, how was it like to kiss a super hot Thrax named Lincoln? Rate it from 1 to 10!

Myla: I haven’t kissed a ton of guys, but the few I did before Lincoln were, well, just plain gross. It was more like a dental exam than a kiss. But with Lincoln? Le sigh. Our kiss is a conversation. We move in perfect sync: lips, tongues, bodies, hands…wow. On a scale of 1 to 10, he’s a million. And no, I’m not exaggerating.

Feli: Okay! that's it! thank you so much for your time. One of the best interviews I've ever made. Well, I'll see you again in Scala then! Good luck with your new job!

Myla: Thanks, Feli! I look forward to kicking ass in my new gig…and staying in touch with awesome humans like you!
