Angel's Kiss

With a mob contract on her head, Helena has kept a low profile, trying to survive by living off the streets. Numb with cold and near starvation, she awaits death in an abandoned house, and gets more than she bargained for, in the form of a vampire.

When an angel — Danizriel — arrives on the scene, he is puzzled to find Helena still alive and the vampire dead. Intrigued, he shelters her and together they discover that she has become something neither of them expected.

Their growing attraction is soon threatened when news of Helena's unnatural abilities quickly spreads. She becomes the target of a deadly hunt by vampires and Danizriel is placed in an impossible situation when he is told he must kill her.

With overwhelming forces closing in, Helena and Danizriel face death from all directions. Who will live and who will die?

I received a copy in exchange of an honest review.

This book had delivered what a lot of other novels had failed to deliver (in my opinion); proper introduction. It might be a small aspect for some people but not for me.

Yes, it might be simply told through a conversation and might not be creatively scattered throughout the book for readers to uncover, but I couldn't care less. Readers could get a perfect view of what this world look like and what is happening there before we get any further, and I don't know about you but that helps me a lot in finishing a book without getting confused and bored mid way.

The plot and twists towards the usual myths about vampires, werewolves, and angels are absolutely creative. I found Melanie Tomlin's idea to be fresh and original. And Helen's character development is also a plus point for me, she is officially my current girl crush. Even when she's physically unable to fight, her strong will and determination is amazing. And Danny (our swoon-worthy angel) is just as amazing.

The pace might be slow but the writing style and conflicts had made up for it, so much that I found myself looking forward to my next free time so I can continue reading this book.

Overall, I am in love with this book! Totally recommended to you paranormal romance lovers. Looking forward for the next installment!
