Review: Moonstruck by Lauren Dane

Moonstruck by Lauren Dane
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I've heard a lot of good things about Lauren Dane but I never get the chance to read one of her books until now, and wow I am grateful. I recieved an arc of this book in exchange of an honest review.

This book is about how our heroine, Katie Faith Grady—powerful badass witch that she is—left her hometown, the magical place called Diablo Lake full of mythical creatures to escape an 'embarrassing breakup'. Only to come back in a few years to help her parents with business that later leads her to be unintentionally reunited with her long time crush—super super hot werewolf who's also a cop. yum!—Jace Dooley. What do you expect? when a sexy badass witch and a super delicious werewolf Alpha was thrown into one city, then add tons of chemistry? sparks fly. Unfortunately having a really powerful witch as the pack leader's (Patron of the Dooley wolves) mate comes with conflicts, so no, this relationship is not going to be that easy.

By the time I finished half of this book, I was really surprised by how I am actually really enjoying it. To be honest I didn't feel like there are a lot of things going on in the plot itself, but the way Lauren Dane had written it was flawless, I just can't help devouring this book. The plot would have felt stretched but I guess the writing style and amazing character development had made up for it. I just love Katie faith and Jace! they are perfect for each other. Although I felt like there are certain details that might be great if it was talked about more, like how the fact that Katie is a witch and she barely used any of her powers or how Jace seemed so tame and un-werewolf like in most of the story, It's not like I would love them any less though.

Overall, I am mentally sitting on the edge of my seat waiting for the next installment! can't wait to see what happens next. Totally recommended.
