Yara has spent the last three years in Brazil, diligently studying with Vovó to develop her Waker abilities and desperately searching for a cure for Brent. Though her powers—and her control over them—have grown, every possible cure for Brent fails. And they're running out of the only medicine that keeps him alive.
When a letter from the American Wakers recalls Yara and Vovó to California, Yara has to weigh the fading chance of saving Brent against the dangers of placing them all within the grasp of an old enemy. Not only has his power grown, but the barrier between our world and the spirit world is becoming dangerously thin. As the threat to the Wakers increases, Yara doesn't know if she'll be strong enough to defeat him.
Her only hope is to put her trust in some unexpected allies and fully embrace her Waker heritage. If she fails, not only could Brent die, but the power of the Wakers could disappear forever.

REVIEW
Inevitable is seriously the best way to end a trilogy. At least for Yara Silva trilogy.
If you're done with the second book, you'd know how Brent is not looking so hot right now, not talking literally of course, Brent is always hot in my mind. And the Waker (peoples who could see ghosts and communicate with them) Yara is trying super hard to find a cure for her boyfriend. And as if it's not enough, this enemy comes up to ruin everything.
I've had always liked Yara Silva, even from the beginning of book one. Yes, she had flaws, and yes, there are this moments where I am annoyed by her. But what's a character without flaws? She fights for what she believes and I totally admired her for not giving up. because those conflicts guys, the majority of it are big. I have no idea how to solve it if I were Yara, I don't want to be her lol. Yara's boyfriend, Brent, was a tiny bit (or a lot?) pessimistic sometimes. But hey, he's on the verge of his life, it's normal for dying people to be pessimistic. I love him though, my heart broke for him. Love the other characters too, love Vovo, love everyone but I'm just going to share my feelings about my favorite two characters above.
The plot was super exciting! I'm a bit bored at the beginning though, that I ended up putting it down for a few days, but I finished it and I am satisfied with how everything ends. I am big for Lani Woodland's writing style, love it!!!
